Chaharshanbe Soori

Chaharshanbe soori is a special day for Iranian people. It is an ancient Persian traditional ceremony on the eve of last Wednesday of the year. People start fireworks and set up (build) fire and jump over the fire and say:
Sorkhi-ye to az man; Zardi-ye man az to
Give me your beautiful red color and take back my sickly pallor!
The day is full of fun for children because children like to play with fire.
We had bought a lot of fireworks and built a big bonfire. We had a good time with our neighbors and friends; jumping over the fire and fireworks.
